When Someone replys to a topic, is there a way to make the most recent reply go to the top ? And also, Does anyone have a Snitz Forum with some of the Mods already installed, I am having no luck with the Sticky Topic and Icon Mods at all. What is a good program to count the lines and do a search for specific lines ? Thx in Advance !

1. in topic.asp look for this code

strSql = strSql & " ORDER BY " & strActivePrefix & "REPLY.R_DATE ASC"

and change it to

strSql = strSql & " ORDER BY " & strActivePrefix & "REPLY.R_DATE DESC"

2. try a search for such a forum. There should be some.

3. Normally, this could be done with an editor like Dreamweaver

Well, that fixed the Reply order (tyvm) now can anyone tell me how to do a search for a Forum that already has the mods added to it ? Thx if ya can help

Some editors that show the line numbers that I can recommend:
Homesite < paid
SourceEdit < free

Both can do a search or search & replace in one or multiple files. There are several other editors, but these are the only two I'm familiar with.


Take a look in the MOD W/ Code forum for a topic about a 3.3.x forum with several MODs installed. I'm not sure which MODs are installed, nor if the security and bug fixes are installed in it though.
