If you want to go over 70 at any stage then be aware that the maximum field size defined in the database for this is 100.

At line, 629, change the red part to 70:
<td bgColor="<% =strPopUpTableColor %>"><input maxLength="50" name="Subject" value="<% =Trim(ChkString(TxtSub,"edit")) %>" size="40"></td>

Forum.asp line 279 (clean file, version 3.3.05) ChkString(left(rs("T_SUBJECT"), 50),"display")
Change the value in red to the value you specified before. |

That's why we post snippets of the code... it helps identify the line or you can do a search for (part of) that snippet in the file
Glad you got it working |

you can use notepad in a pinch to find a particular line.
Just make sure word wrap is off, then hit CTRL+G and enter the line to go to, notepad also has find and replace commands as well for finding strings of charaters.
May not be as great as wysiwyg editors but like I said in a pinch it will work. |

I use Crimson Editor, available at http://www.crimsoneditor.com/. It makes working with ASP files easy. I use Front Page to manage my site and have configured it to open ASP files with Crimson (instead of the deafualt FP Editor). |
