Hi all,
More and more I see people on my forums wanting to put flash in and with the new version, you can't run forum code and HTML at the same time. I've chosen forum code and because of this, the <embed> function won't work.
would it be hard to make a mod so you can insert flash like a images? rather than doing the html for insterting an image you just do ![]()
I would have thought this was that hard, but I don't know where to start.
Any help would be great.

There's a Mod on Crash's site that'll do exactly what you want.

I am the original author of this small mod and have found that it is NOT perfect. I am currently modifying this to work better. There will be times you will see oddities in using this, especially if you try using other forum tags at the same time.

You do have any idea of a timescale for the mod? Just that I need something fairly soon, 10days time ish, and will run with the current version if you are going to be longer... not that I'm pushing you, I'm thankful for all the help I get on here.

I have the concept I want to use but unfortunately I am working on hardware issues now because my cable modem just died so I am Internet-less, unless I come to work and browse
the problem with what I am going to do is, right now I am just using EMBED when I should actually be using OBJECT for IE. this gives additional features such as transparency and whatnot. the other thing is like I said earlier, the flash tag can be buggy at times when using other forum tags but I have identified that issue (I think) and will fix that as well.
I would say hopefully I can have it done this weekend, but again, focus is on my equipment first which consists of replacing a cable modem, installing a SCSI drive and updating some software.
oh yeah, I am also moving my forums to an external host... so I am rather busy at the moment. sorry I don't have a definate answer for you right now.

The transparency is the main reason that I want to do this.
You seem like you've got a lot on- if you get it done, great, if not, I'm sure the other will suffice in the interim.
