I have installed the RTE 1.3 mod with little problems (very nice instructions - thanks).

However, my query is with the formating of the messages when they are sent over to the DB.
When the message is typed out, the user will press return for a new line. The HTML code that is being added is <P> instead of <BR>.

Does anyone know how i can change it? Or if it can be changed?

The RTE shows everything just as i would like to see it - but the topic.asp pages does not.

Your users should use Ctrl and Enter (or Return) to get a <br>. You could add a warning about it on post.asp, or something like that.

There is no clean fix for that because it's IE behavior. However, I believe Nathan did have a solution for that, but it involved modifying topic.asp and it wasn't a really clean fix. It might be in one of the RTE MOD topics in the MOD W/Code forum.
