It would be really kewl if members had an area where they can personalize the recent topics that are displayed on recent.asp. For example: If they dont want to see the newest topics from a certain forum like General Discussion they can go to their "Personalize.asp" page and click on the checkbox near the forum called General Discussion and voila!! all the forum topics from General Discussion are filtered from displaying its newest topics on the recent.asp page.
this is based on what access members have in the first place. a additional table or delimited string in a field will need to be generated for helping on the filtering process. I think I am going to add a feature to include filtering not only on active topics, but the entire forums in general.
anyway, any guidance or input on this would be greatly appreciated, until then I am going to continue with my concept... fair warning though.. this is not something that I will finish quickly. as amazing as this may sound, I do have a personal life which I've been taking advantage of lately
