Well 256 posts in 10 days gives an average of 25,6 posts per day. It looks like something Access can handle pretty easy. Anyway, maybe you just have many concurrent users in a given period. Does this happen regardless of how many members you have online?
I have been the only one when refreshing the active topics page and other times there have been 6-10 with no problems. It may take a couple refreshes to work. I haven't been able to pinpoint any 1 factor yet. I may take the base snitz files and reapply the mods to see if I screwed up somewhere.
Maybe SQL is the best wa and I can integrate some other things that are needed.
I thought I was the only one that didn't sleep.. It looks like I am not alone..

Frankly, I think this is a server problem. It doesn't look like it has something to do with some code you inserted.

It would fix this for sure.

Do you know if this was resolved? I am getting the same exact error. I was able to run the old forum. I have an Access 2000 db. Is there another way to tell if the folder the db is in is properly configured? I hate to keep asking our IS people to look at it for me, they tell me it's OK, I say it seems stuck...
Thanks.
PS. This is the greatest forum I've seen around, and the level and quality of support is amazing!!! |

As for the server, I can only ask. :) |

Well it must be a server prob now, if you're sure about the Access 2000 format. Did you convert the database to 2000 yourself?
Thanks for the compliments on Snitz support . |

As for the database, hmm I'm a bit confused. I thought it was a 2000 database. I opened it with Access 2000 and wasn't asked to convert it.
What I did was create a blank database in the folder, then I imported the data from the downloaded database.
And, you're quite welcome for the compliemtns, they are well deserved. |

The downloaded database with versions prior to 3.4 was Access 97. 3.4's is Access 2000.

You mean now? Why not just convert the database in Access? |
