A spell checking option would be a great add on to Snitz. :)

Thanks

That spell checker MOD is nice, but pretty useless unless you have a dictionary lying next to your computer, and you'd have to add a lot of words to the "dictionary" database to keep it from underlining almost everything that's posted here because of the words used on these forums.

I've seen it in action and was about to remove it because it just doesn't do what people expect to get...

I use HuwR's mod, as linked. However, I changed two things:

I changed the highlighting to actual highlighting, rather than underline. I found underlines confusing if you also had some links.

To overcome the issue you mention, I make every mispelled word a link. Clicking on the link takes you to a page which asks you "Should whateverTheWordWas be added to the dictionary? Yes | No". Answering Yes then simply adds it to the dictionary. This is for a forum on a private LAN, so there is no worry that my users add things for spite, and hopefully they don't add truly mispelled words. It could be limited to Admins, or Admins and Moderators if you were worried.

Anyway, that's what worked for me.

So, Dan. That sounds like a great mod... When can we see your version?
