Ok, I'm having the exact same problem as Rabid, but I don't have the luxury of having SQL Server 2000 to DTS to. I only have access to Access '97 & 2000 and SQL Server 7. What options do I have??????

In the interest of community, I could help you by downloading your Access database, DTS-ing it into my SQL Server 2000 server, but then I'd need Enterprise Manager access to your SQL Server 7 box via the Internet so I could DTS it from my SQL2K server... |

Hmmm, just noticed this post. It must have been done while I was on vacation and I missed it when I came back.
I'm available to help also...
Rabid: I once was able to DTS a Snitz user DB from access to SQL 7 without problems. Don't know why you had to do that... |

This topic is something that I am thinking about a lot.
I know the first problem was resolved, but the second posted in July seems to have either been dropped by that party or resolved other ways.
Since I don't know what type of SQL Server I will end up owning (SQL 7 used or SQL 2000 new), how would a person convert from "Access '97 or 2000 to SQL Server 7"?
If this question has been resolved elsewhere here at Snitz, could someone please post that link so this topic could find tie in there?
Also, does anyone know of anyone who might have a version of SQL for sale?
Cheers,
Etymon

Whenever I tried to DTS from Access to SQL Server 7 I had no problems. I've done it at least twice. I also know other users who did the same without problems.
Altough I cannot tell you why Rabid had that problem, I'm inclined too think that is not the rule. |
