I dont get fully what you mean, so i'll guess

you can download it from here

http://forum.snitz.com/specs.asp

For installation help go here

http://www.aslickpage.com/snitz_help.html

If you mean create a forum on your current board then in the category row on the far right there is a folder icon (inbetween a world and bin icon), you have to be logged in as admin, if you click the icon you can set up a new forum.

Frank, no offence, but you don't know if that's what Shinobi3 meant and it's quite rude to begin asking questions about your problem in someone else's topic.
Go to forum.asp and click on the link that says "new topic". There's one of these above and below the forum table.

Ah...no rudness meant...I was referring to the guy that posted the reply...to him.

He "partially" answered the question...and I figured I would ask for some clarification on my end.

BTW...

To be exact...you must go to the default.asp page and login there as Admin. Then....POOF...you get access to a TON of icon's that allow you to do everything you need. I have been combing through the hundreds of posts here trying to figure some of the basics out.

Again, no harm meant by the post...Just didn't want to state the "potential" same question over again.

Thanks!

Frank

Okay, well you had the naming wrong.

Let's explain:
the complete set of forums is called the Board
The first smaller part is a category
Each category is devided into smaller pieces called Forums
Each forum contains Topics and last but not least,
Each topic contains posts, being the original post and the replies.

You asked how to make a new topic, so I told you how to make a new topic. However, you either meant to ask how to make a new category, or a new forum. For that you, indeed, need to be logged in as Admin and create them on default.asp.

You're very welcome

Be sure to post a link to your forums in the Show Off Your Forums forum when you're done, or if you need comments and/or advice about the looks.

I am new user of these forums. I am unable to create new forum or category from admin login, even after reading the FAQ. There are not such icons to make or edit categories when u login as administrator. Am I using some old version or what ? ? I downloaded it today and I am sure it is the latest version.

Secondly, there is no "Forget Password" option available next to Save Password combo box. WHy?

to reflect your database type.

I tried to quit the << ' >> of the "config.asp" but it doesn't works; I don't understand ¬¬ ....

Ok, now we are there.
You got a link to your forum?

Just a short setup help:

First of all, make sure, that your host supports ASP.
After that, open the file config.asp that comes with the downloaded forum files.
There are three lines in it, which begin with "'strDBType". From one of these lines, you need to remove the ' in front of. This depends on the Database you want to use (Access/MS SQL/MySQL). The database shipped with the forum is Access.
After that, there are nine lines with "'strConnString" in front of.
You have to use only one (remove the ' in front of that line) of these and enter there the right information for your database (where it resides on your server/User-ID/Password).
After that, save the config.asp files and upload all the files to your server.
Finishing that, you have to run setup.asp with your browser and follow the instructions in there.
That`s all.
