but do you think that the DBS file could be used for some thing after the table is created in a database?
normaly I use the DBS only once, but if you think it could be use for some thing else it would not be difficult to place it in the ZIP

Hi,
Why is it that I cant use my old dtatabase despite upgrading successfully. I ahve this moded board working with the supplied database but not my large one from version 3.3.03.
Also ActiveUsers never shows up

Image, i have some problems setting up your "4.0 beta 2" forum
I tried to setup my database in order to work with your code, but i have problems that i am not able to solve
1) The default text color seems not to change from the admin control panel
2) I took this error on the moderator column in default.asp
ADODB.Recordset error '800a0cc1'
Item cannot be found in the collection corresponding to the requested name or ordinal.
/forum/inc_functions.asp, line 1199
and from the admin control panel i can't hide the moderator column

First of all, your link don't work
1) for text color goto file call "fichiers" and open style.css
you will find there the color you can change manualy.
2) for the error on the moderator column in default.asp
open "inc_functions.asp" and look at the lines between 1197 and 1203 for this code:
exit function
end if
fMods = rsChk("MEMBER_ID")
rsChk.MoveNext
do until rsChk.EOF
fMods = fMods & ", " & rsChk("MEMBER_ID")
rsChk.MoveNext
and change for
exit function
end if
fMods = rsChk("M_NAME")
rsChk.MoveNext
do until rsChk.EOF
fMods = fMods & ", " & rsChk("M_NAME")
rsChk.MoveNext
that should fix it
don't forget to correct your link

changing "style.css" i solved the problem on IE, but Mozilla still use wrong colours... :
The link was correct.... but that server now is down and i had to move my forum to another location

I had to unistall the Forum Statistics Mod in order to avoid the script timeout error... sometime traffic is too heavy on my board (and i can't afford a good hosting).

Update of Forum v4 beta2 06/sept/2002
Dear members,
For any body who has installed the forum "Version 4 beta2" on there Web site,
I want to inform you that there has been a few changes and a small bug was fixed.
You should update your forum to get those changes (there were modifications in all the files).
To do the update just upload the ZIP "Version 4.0 Beta2 " and copy all ASP files, except "config.asp", in your forum directory.
