Please help me!

I´ve installed the Snitz forum (but not already uploaded. I´ve worked only in PWS)
But I can´t understand how I could change:
1. The "Testing Forum" name (and Register Page…)
2. The Username and Password set by default (Admin - Admin)
3. All the words in the forum (like "Home"), because I want to translate it into Spanish (for example: put "Inicio" instead of "Home)

THANKS A LOT!!!

Rosamunda

Regarding the translation I would advise you to use v.4.0Beta3 and the existing lang pack for Spanish (which seems to be a bit incomplete, but it's a good start anyway.

You can get v.4 from here: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=25195 (third post)

Also download the AllPatches zip, extract v.4 normal files to a folder and extract the All patches files over the normal files. After doing this your folder will have the most up to date files for version v4.

You can also take your time there to read the links and familiarize yourself with v4. The readme.txt file and config.asp file contain more info on using the International version.

A few posts below you'll find a link to a Spanish lang pack. You can download it and start your translation from there.

Any questions post them here. I'll answer them tomorrow, as I'm going to bed as of now.

Enjoy Snitz.

Thanks! I´ve downloaded the V4 as you told me.

How can I install it? Is there a special way or I just "rewrite" the old versions of the ASP archives?

Thanks again,

Rosamunda

It installs as a normal version does. You can overwrite the existing files.

Do not forget to apply the patches files! They include some very important security fixes.

<edit>Just corrected my "apply" typo. It was causing too much trouble </edit>

Thanks, but what do you mean with "appy"?
I´ve dowloaded the version from here:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/sf2k/sf2k_v40_b03.zip

Then I paste the new archives in my "SnitzForum" Folder...
Now I have a new problem:
I couldn´t translate my forum language yet...!

Thanks for your help ruirib...

He means apply the patches. You can find them here:

http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=16673

If you take the Spanish language pack, you didn`t have to translate anything. It has already be done.

"Apply" means unzipping the patch into the forum directory OVERWRITING the existent files. The link Rasco provided has more detailed instructions.

If you cannot reach the Spanish language pack, please send an email to me, I'll attach it.
