I have a beginers book on php and I have learned a little php from it so far, or at least enough to get my site running right. I want to be able to use an access database with my php pages and I was wondering if there was a way to do so? In the book it talks about using mySQL but that's an extra charge on my server that I would like to avoid... plus I have no idea what it is. Is there a simple way for me to use my access database in my cgi-bin with php?

If you are on an NT server then you can use an Access database with PHP. I can't remember exaclty how to connect it though.

If you are on Unix/Linux then no.
