Whenever a new member tries to register, we are getting the following message:

There Was A Problem With Your Details
Username may not contain the word
********************************
We were using version 3.3.03 but just upgraded to 3.3.05 hoping that the upgrade might solve the problem.
Any suggestions?

Make sure your badword list does not end with a '|' character. It should be in the form:
word1 | word2 | word3

That got it! We had entered an extra "|" at the end of the list of bad words.

Could you please help me to!? I am getting the same message even after trying what you said, infact I have now turned off the swearing "guard" and still the same. The member gets created & works, but is directed to the "Problem With Your Details" page anyway.

yes i am also getting the same thing it says registaration complete and i have swear words off then it goes to a screen that says there was a problem with your registration

Arrrgg, still same problem:
There Was A Problem With Your Details
You must choose a UserName
You must choose a Password
You Must give an email address
You Must enter a valid email address
the above is bull I have done everything right. I also deleted ruirib's member details, copied them and registered, but still didn't work! mottto....may be a browser problem?

Found problem - I am at home at the moment - I am behind a FIREWALL!! just disabled my firewall and it worked fine, try that out Cavedog699,
