Hey... I have read all of the admin problem post and still cannot fix this problem..

Seem to be having similar problems as most... my admin will not login... have tried every possible password and says wrong password. I do not remember changing it.

I use Front Page to edit the site and tried finding the FORUM_MEMBERS page... could not find the section where members exist in the html... so that I could change the password or creat a new admin...

I do have another user set up and can use it as administrator if I can change its security level...

Any ideas?

Don't use frontpage to edit your files. That's a common mistake people make when they want to edit Snitz files. Use a text editor like notepad or source edit (http://www.sourceedit.com) if you want to prevent problems.

You can find all information in the database. Two options:
1- download the whole thing and open it. Then go to the FORUM_MEMBERS table and look up your admin password.
2- use the "forgot your password" option. That'll only work if you have the e-mail options turned on.

If I use Notepad... which page do I edit? I can click EDIT with notepad at the top of my browser... right?

The only way I have ever worked on my site is with Front Page... it was set up by someone else and I keep it up... have basic html knowledge... thats it...

Thanks for your quick response!

Not sure if i understand, but you wont need to edit any pages to get your password, you will have to download your database and check what it is in there. Or you could write a little script to show the passwords then delete it after you have finished.
