Much, Much better Da_Stimulator !!!
1-In the "announcement pop up" :
It may improve the clarity by either decreasing the font size of the "Posted "(the word Posted, is not necessary) Date or writing the date (small font ) underneath the Title. Leaving more room for longer Titles. The title should'nt be "linked", just contrasting ( it duplicates the "comments" link needlesly). If a link is needed, it should be included in the body of the announcement's text.
2-In The "Post" pop-up:
I'M not sure if the announcement's text should be included. If the text is a little long, it makes the pop-up window exceeds the screen, which should be avoided when possible. I feel that the "announcement's title" you included in the window is sufficient (as all tiltles should always be short and pertinant to the subject).
3-In the "Comments" pop-up:
Keep the same display for the (announcement) Title header as the "announcement" page.(ex: bold green+ smaller font for date).
In the "comments" header, you could start with the "comment author"s name first ( ex: From: Visitor x (regular font) and at the end of the same line, the date in small font.
Et Voila!
Ps: Your joke about support: LoL Ps2:I think that a Mod should satisfy its own purpose first. Individual adaptations should not be imposed upon the conceptor. Most, respond to these requests with awesome patience, but It shouldn't taken for granted nor as a mesure of generosity.
Just a thought! Thanks "DA_Stimulator"

Admin section updated, fixed a small bug in editing comments and announcements. Admin Section 'facelift' not done yet :)

Sorry, I'm not sure what part you couldn't understand. I'LL rephrase it: From the "Comments" pop-up:
1-Design Changes... - Posted 12/15/2000 2-I've been doing some MINOR design changes you can tell :) making everything look better... or I hope it looks better. --2 Comments | Post Yours 3-Posted 12/15/2000 By Grave_Of_Ness lookin tight stim lookin tight 4-Posted 12/16/2000 By admin Thx... Got some more work to do. I need your input guys, c'mon! What should I do? Line 1, use the exact same display then in the announcement page.
Line 3 and 4 ( the comment's author header) could read: from: Grave_Of_Ness 12/15/2000
or
from: Admin 12/16/2000
With the date at the extrem right end of the cell(line). Same for the "announcement's" tiltle: the date at the extreme right. Uniformity makes the retreiving of data easier.

oh yeah, I forgot something :P
Add the following in with the rest of the 'openwindow' javascripts in your inc_top.asp
function openWindow5(url) { popupWin = window.open(url,'new_page','width=400,height=500,scrollbars=1') }

Nice going "Da Stimulator" !
Question: 1-If the comments exceed 1 page in lenght, do they end up on a second page ? 2-When I read the comments, I have to go back to "view all announcements" if I wish to read other announcement'comments. Wouldn't it be easier to have a back button, may be above the "close Window" ?

1) good question, answer is no, but I could add paging. 2) good Idea.
My Next 'version' will have the option for paging comments if they are allowed, and a 'back' button :)
I will also try to re-do the admin section, as it is a bit sloppy. I'm not that good with backend scripts.

Okey dokey, all updates complete. Facelift and everything. I wont be updating anymore unless more bugs come to attention, which I doubt (hopefully...)
The zip is updated, keep me posted.

Da_Stimulator, Nice script and I love it! Only things I would suggest is to actually format the "message" so that carriage returns can be put in there. As it stands right now, if the user enters text and it has carriage returns, the text just continues. One more thing is if the administrator enters in a URL, it should show up as a link.
If I come up with anything else, I'll let you know.
Thanks.
Cheers, Tim

What do you mean by 'If the administrator enters in a url, it should show up as a link'?
I cant figure out how to do the carriage returns, I thought that was handled in the chkstring function, but obviously not. what is it... uhhh replace(variable, chr(10), "<br>") ?
