WOW! Nice Mod, Da STimulator,
Question: is the "comments" part of the "annoncement_Mod"? If so, it's a bit confusing: like the link in the cell ex: "another Forum added" gives the impression to link to that particular forum, not to the "comments page". It may be more efficient to put on a single line (cell with a distinct background's color): (X)Comments (read) (post) and also make the title (subject"bold") in the "comment" page distinct from the "response"'s cells(ex:italic). My point is, its confusing at first and may defeit the purpose of this great Mod ! All the functionalities are there, it may just need a little esthetic improvement to ease the navigation.
It is a Great add-on as it creates and maintains a new and valuable direct relation between the admin and the forum users. I cant wait to implement it on my forum (although I'll wait after the "debugging" phase since I dont want to translate my forum for a third time !!!)
Thanks,

I like the way the announcements are part of a popup window, but maybe it would be easier if there was a 'back' (button) opties when you want to review a single message and it's comments.
Otherwise great stuff !

I just put the announcements mod into my forum and it works great. Couple ideas though. Make the announcements possibly have a 'timeout' variable.. where they can be set to automatically cease being displayed or perhaps removed from the table automatically on a given date? Also, need to work on that interface.. its very clunky looking... perhaps set the announcements up in tables so they look better formatted and also change the font size. Alitle smaller would be good. Also, use the same editing screen format as for all other posts?? so you can get the formatting you want for the posts text. Ahhh.. and give the option to delete/edit the announcements without having to go into the individual announcements themselves.
Wow, im full of ideas, huh

I'll work on it and release an updated version later today.

Stim,
With all of us, you won't need to thing about new idea. I didn't look at it very long, but found that the comment part is very "disturbing"... Sould be a little separate of the true annoncement.

Design suggestion: Ist Cell: Title (ex:bold ,with a contrasting background, without link) date(Dec 15th, 2000)(small font)
2nd Cell:
The announcement as such (regular font), including contrasting link if needed.
3rd Cell: (a single "links" row): "xnumber" Comments (read) (post) -------------------------- This way Da_Stimulator, the visitor will not be confused about distinguishing the "comments" from the "announcement". End up having a clear idea where and how to go from there.
Just a thought!

Design Changes Made....
How about this, next time I come out with a mod, you write out the format in HTML, and I will add all the ASP?

I forget who's signature it was, but it comes to mind at this point. "Programming is like sex, one mistake and you give support for life"
Anyway, more updates added, now shows member profile if the user that posted the comment is registered.
Admin section will be hard, considering all those edit fields. I'll work on it though.

The thing is I want to satisfy everyone.. and it cant be done. Currently you are the person to be satisfied, then when I'm done making you happy, someone else will come along :P
Admin section design updates are done, but not added to the zip yet, I still have to test and make sure everything works :)
