I removed the added code from inc_top.asp and default.asp and found that default.asp takes around 30 secs to load whereas when the code was still there it usually took less than 10!

I will be installing AU 4.0 but I was just wondering if anybody could explain why removing the old Active Users code would cause a slowdown, rather than speeding it up?

Did you get it ALL removed?

Try deleting the inc_activeusersx.asp file from your forum directory and see what that does.

Its also posible that you have some scripts cached on the server that are causing you problems.
