I just downloaded and configured the newest version tonight from your site. I have installed and configured everything according to your specification. Everything appeared to be in perfect working order and then I started to have problems with my server. It seems that while floating around the pages of the forums, my server will lock up. I have checked out several other possibilities and they all point back to the Snitz Forums 2000. While I am assuming that it has to do with my MS Access being XP, I'm not for certain...here is my specs:
OS: Windows 2000 Advanced Server Server Software: IIS ACCESS 2002: v10.2627.2625
Please let me know if you have any other known problems with Access XP (2002). I own copies of 2000, but since this is my e-mail and web hosting server, I do not want any more down time than absolutely mandatory. Thanks!

Also, what driver are you using? Please post your connection string.
You should also make sure that you have the latest MDAC. Visiti Microsoft's site for that.

Do you perhaps have Zone Alarm Pro 3 running on the IIS server. With that on mine, the server will quit serving after an indeterminant time. Problem appears to be with the TrueVector part of the program. Uninstalling ZA fixes the problem and ZA Pro 2 works fine as well.
Just a thought.

Let's see.....
Nathan, no mods...simply the snitz forum. As far as added software on the server goes, well...there's a lot of that! Only significant difference is that I am using MDaemon e-mail software.
gfay, no ZA here...I have a Linksys router hub with built in firewall protection as well as the standard Advanced Server features.
I saved you for last ruirib because I went ahead and d/l the latest MDAC update (2.7) and just from testing the site out on my own (without it being available to the public) I havn't had any issues again (yet!). I am hoping that your suggestion fixed my problem!
I have used XP office with other ASP freeware that specified the same exact testing measures as this forum and it works with them, but that didn't mean that it would with this program.
I am going to open the forum back up to the public today and have some people try it out to see how it goes. I have had it up and running for about 10-15 minutes now and it appears to be okay. I have been watching the Performance and Process items in the Task Manager to see if it spikes or if I have any large process requests. I will check back within 24 hours to leave an update.
Thanks so much! I hope this was the fix!

Just checking in with a friendly update....
So far so good! The fixed version has been up and running for hours and has accepted 5 new accounts as well as new posts and replies. I will update again tomorrow to let you know how it is going, but I am pretty sure that it is all running fine now!
