evehawk,
the one that I have on my SR4 Forum, I dug out of slemieux's Integrated Mods post (zippedsnitz.zip).
Probably the reason it's not working on yours is the change of (strCookieURL) to (strUniqueID). |

<font color=red>Note: this is meant to be a full install forum, not an upgrade to an existing forum. There are database fields that I added to the database and don't have setup files for. I am providing this as-is. I've tested it extensively on both my home server and on cfm-resources.com and everything is working as of right now. There are modifications included that have not been released as a mod so take a look around. Especially the Admin Options screen.</font id=red>
Here is the download for the forum I have at: http://richard.cfm-resources.com/v31sr4/
http://www11.ewebcity.com/dssdbs/files/customsnitzv31sr4.zip
Just unzip all of the files. Edit <b>config.asp</b> with the path to where you are going to place <b>snitz_forums_2000.mdb</b> . Upload everything except <b>snitz_forums_2000.mdb</b> to your /forum directory. Then upload <b>snitz_forums_2000.mdb</b> to your database directory.
If you get a gray screen with no colors, you'll need to run <b>setup.asp?rc=5</b> from your browser to set the application variables.

<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote> frankie, try this:
download this file: http://www1.domaindlx.com/dssdbs/files/pmfix.zip
extract the 3 files and upload them to your forum directory.
run the <b>droppmtable.asp</b> file first. This will delete the FORUM_PM table so you will lose any Private Messages that you have right now.
Next run <b>mod_dbsetup.asp</b> to readd the FORUM_PM table.
That should fix your problem. <hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" size=2 id=quote>
Richard is the KING!! Works like a charm now!!
I did take a look at the db table before installing your fix and I found that the M_OUTBOX column is full with (-1)?? ..but after you came to the rescue everything has never been beter in PM mod land!! <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

The first thing I wanted to do with this [excellent mod] was send a PM to all users, but... there doesn't seem to be an easy way to select more than one recipient. (other than typing <img src=icon_smile_sleepy.gif border=0 align=middle>)
Has anyone came up with a solution for this? (or even worked on it)
Something similar to the Topic member list would be awesome... select who you want, or everyone, etc.
----------------------------
Actually, it doesn't look like you can send it to multiple users at all. Can you?

No, just one person at a time. |

How do you import data from another database? I've been having a hell of a time doing it. Fumbling away in Access I keep losing relationships or my CAT_ID changes.

Richard: That would be great for the Admin and may be the Moderators to be able to send a private message to the Member's list. It would increase the "Fidelity Factor" even of those members that "read only" on the forum. The way I see it, it could be launched from the post.asp cat_id_5 or 4 ?
Wedont snitz ver3.1 sr2 <font color=red>Thanks Richard, You're quite right! </font id=red>

Need help with Inc_top.asp.. I want the PM mod installed at the top of my forum above Annoucements. I put the include pm and it's all the way across the screen and really lowers the forums down.
I know a table has to be created for this, but don't know how to do it.
Thanks Rick

rick,
download this file: http://www1.domaindlx.com/dssdbs/files/rick.zip
extract the <b>inc_top.asp</b> and the <b>privatemess2.asp</b> to your /forum directory.
Let me know if this is what you were wanting.... |

I'm hoping that someone can help me with this problem.
When I click on the Inbox link, it takes me to a page that says, "You must be logged in". This happens even when I am logged in. I tried posting a topic, and it still doesn't say I'm logged in. Any idea on how to fix this?
BTW I'm using an Access 2000 database.

milez,
looks like a cookie problem.
What version of the forum are you using? If you are using v3.1sr4 then the cookie changed a little since this mod was released. |
