André,
For some reason the cookie isn't being set for you. It defaults to no outbox so you may not see a link to the outbox. When you go to the preferences, e-mail notification and turning off private messages are stored in the database. The Inbox/Outbox feature is set in a cookie. Or as it appears in your case, isn't being set.
I just found a bug, let me get this worked out and I will put these files up for downloading.

There is something weird in here I haven't figured out yet. For some reason the messages in the outbox don't always appear. Richard! Have any ideas?

the outbox dont show up period... I think 'slemmy' <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> was right, that its not being set.
Probably if he downloaded the one where I fixed all the cookie strings, or 'slemmy'`s, it will probably fix itself

whoops, I was talkin about andre...
Scott, if you send messages before you activate the outbox, they wont show up. Otherwise they've shown up for me.
Also, for some odd reason, when I switched url's (from cfm-resources.com/s/stimmy to stimmy.cfm-resources.com) all my settings were reset, and my outbox was empty when I activated it again.

You are correct they do not show up at all!
Scott something is missing in your zip for
instance when i try to send a message i only
have the send buttons, at the bottom, the sender and text box to type in are simply not there.

frankie , you might want to wait a bit. It's no big deal, these files are all there own and don't mess with the rest of the forum.
André, try a little mild physical shock on that computer of yours

lol just kidding! That's really odd! Do you have a URL where I can see what's happening?
Somethings may be kinda off still but I don't think they should be that off. I am working on 48 straight hours with no sleep so I probably overlooked something in the zip.

No the forum is not up yet, although i have many other sites, my server does not support
asp so i am waiting for my contract to expire
I am working on a graphics_mod idea which will probably blow everyone away, Since i cannot post an image here, I will send you a email with a sreenclip to show what it looks like...
And by the way no rush this is only due in Feb so i can wait.

Is there a way to restrict access to PM's much like you can do with certain forums? I want to add this, but I don't want everybody to have access to it. I have two groups of people on my forum, Members and Lurkers. So far I've been allowing everybody to register, but members I give access to certain forums while lurkers only have acces to general forums.
It's kind of a pain in the but, I wish there was more of a membership system that allowed you to apply for membership by registering, but not automatically being granted it.

I've found the reason why the messages aren't showing up in the outbox.
In <b>privatesend_info.asp</b>
find this line(it appears twice)
<font size=1><pre id=code><font face=courier size=2 id=code> if request.cookies("paging")("outbox") = "double" or request.cookies("paging")("outbox") = "single" then</font id=code></pre id=code></font id=size1>
change it to this:

Though I did the change nothing happened, I browsed the mod's files and found quite few lines like the lines you mentioned above that needed to be changed (privatesend.asp/privatesent.asp/etc..). I did the change and also nothing happened..hmmm. Why?
