Since I cannot make any of the cached scripts go away on the Snitz Exchange, I have set up this temporary page where everyone can access the mod archive.
http://www.ls3k.com/snitz/temp.asp
The index page should forward there, as soon as the server decides to delete the cached script. . .

Nathan,
I see a new MOD called "inc_login.asp" ... well, new to me anyway. There are also very few downloads for it so far. There is no readme file as well.
Do you know anything about it?

Oh, yes! I am very happy! I went on a spree late last week and d/loaded 75% of the MODs, but I am grateful to have the rest (all are d/loaded now).

Yes, I wrote it. Its supposed to help with external logins. There is no readme because it wont work the same for everyone.

Nathan,
I also noticed a couple where the credits say unknown, yet if you download them it clearly states in the readme who the author was. It would be nice if maybe the people uploading the mods could check these things before posting them to your site, a gentle reminder may be required

Most of the mods that say "Unknown" are relics from the freeaspcode.net site. I wasn't too picky when I uploaded them. . .
Foo, when I get the edit/registration scripts back up and running create an account, I'll gladly transfer it to your control.

I'm not really interested in control. I'd just like proper credit and a link in case I update it.

It's a great script btw! I use it on my asp pages that aren't completely forum related and it works great
Nice script Nathan.

Lord Crow & Nathan,
How do you set the inc_login up if the forum is placed in a directory called 'forum' and the external login needs to be placed on index.asp in the root directory.
p.s. I just realized this is not the appropriate forum to discuss this topic. Move it to a different one if needed...
thanks

Thats ok, helps keep the topic active
The inc_login.asp is designed to be used one directory above the forum. aka in ../ whatever that is. For this reason, your forum cannot use server.mappath in the strConnString to use that script.

No, the cache was there nearly 4 days, but I've now defeated it with <% Response.CacheControl = "Private" %>.
Its still not up because I was hoping . . . well . . . you know . . . 3.4 is supposed to be close.

You shouldn't really work around the release of 3.4 since that could be 2 days or 2 months.
I was checking because all my mods are linked to mods.asp for one of the download sites, and I don't want to go change all of them to temp.asp when you might then get mods.asp back up, then i would have to change them all back again.
Even if you don't want to, at least put up mods.asp so it can redirect to temp.asp.
