I have had readers ask me if there is some way to customize the date format displayed to them on the various pages, through the use of a setting option in the profile pages.
Is this possible?
I am hoping that if possible, that it could be done with minor changes and maybe a cookie addition rather than requiring a DB change.....
Possible I would think it is, but IMHO more trouble than it's worth, quite frankly. Sorry if this sounds discouraging, but I've had my share of date related troubles. Maybe someone thinks differently and will be able to help you with it.
I would say this would need to be dealt with proper care to ensure a clear distinction between server dates and user dates, and that is where there is opportunity to mess it all up.
