I have a forum topic, that i want only paid users to access so therefore i got and add they're name from the members list, when i select them and hit the arrow to bring them to the "allowed list" when i hit post changes, and if i go back into it, the list is empty. please help!

everytime i tried to load the search page all i got was a 404 so yes i "tried"

OH i forgot also, that this is whats happening, so therefore i do believe that it IS there however, IT is not working

Select the "Help: General / Current Version" for the forum.
Uncheck the "Archived Posts" option.

Works ok for me too. Got the same results Richard got.
And that's not a 404 error you are getting. A 404 error would tell you that the page you are looking for is not found. I am sure you can access the search.asp page to be able to do a search.
