When I try to go to the admin_mod_dbsetup.asp and install a mod. I get this:

Snitz Forum Modifications

error 429|ActiveX component can't create object

Any ideas about this? I heard something about "Richards non-fso mod setup file". Is this something I have to get to install mods and if so where?

The first post by Richard explains what you need to do: just open the file with the dbs extension that comes with the mod, copy and paste that file's contents into the dialog. Make sure that the code on the dialog text box looks exactly the same as in the dbs file. Remove any extra spaces and/or lines after the last line of code and click the Submit button. That will allow the execution of all the transformations to the database structure.

Once that is done just do all the code changes required by the specific mod that you will be installing.

There is a dbs_activeuser.asp. That's the one.
