I'm a little paranoid about e-mail sniffers so I would like to use a hotmail address as my site admin address.....but does the site server address have to match the admin email address? (i.e. mail.yourserver.com have to match admin@yourserver.com)
What exactly is CDONTS, Chilimail and JMail? (all 3 are on my server)
I would like to set up a Private Message Feature.....is that what these things do?
What do the headers look like when you use these components? Are they for sending a private message between memebers? or is it an actual e-mail componenent? (i.e. like hotmail)
Are they sending out e-mail from my server with my web address in the "From:" title? (i.e. admin@myserver.com)
I have no idea how they work and really don't want my server email address all over the place. Can someone describe it a little better for me and tell me a safe way to set it up.....
I switched the e-mail components to test it out (i.e. CDONTS to JMail)......and now I am not sure it is still working. Just tried 3 or 4 times and nothing is being recieved to my mail account.
