first, get the Brinkster files from Snitz Exchange
then register an account at Brinkster and once you have it, upload the Brinkster files after you have uploaded the standard forum files.

Just unzip the brinkster files into the files you downloaded here. . . copy over the top of any files you need to. Then setup config.asp and then upload them.

If you have a general membership at brinkster you have to do major editing. I have been working at it for a week now and can't get it running. First of all, the script time outs must be set at 90 or lower. Also, Brinkster does not allow "on error resume next" statements. Major headache!!!! I have been trying to get around this, but it is difficult when so much of the forum code is dependent upon this. Good luck, you will need it.

No you don't need to do major editing. If you use Brinkster files from the link Nathan posted in the first reply to this thread, the only thing you'll need to do is edit config.asp. I've installed two different forums in Brinkster free accounts, and in both cases editing config.asp was all I needed.

So, unzip all Snitz files into a folder. Get the Brinkster files and unzip them over the original ones from regular Snitz. Chnage config.asp according to the database so that you have the connection string recomended by Brinkster and upload everything. That will get your forum working without further efforts.

I know that a hacker has been through here and damaged a lot... I tried to download the Brinkster MOD but I kept getting a 404 error. Is there another way of getting the MOD or will it be available again soon?

I have the Brinkster files. I can email them to you. Email me using the email poster to inform me of your email address, or post the email address here if that's OK with you.

I don't thin they do Mitja because if you run the
testemailcomponents.asp file, it says that they don't provide
any of the email comonents!
