I know how to lock a topic,
but how can I keep it always on top?

You can use one of the various sticky topic mods avalible at the snitz exchange.

Hmmm...
I downloaded the zip file and extracted the file
while reading the readme.txt
I understood all procedures except the following:

EDIT FILES: (code to be edited)

forum.asp
post.asp
post_info.asp

Just look for:
'################ Sticky Topic MOD ######################
in the files

Base code used for the above files: version 4 beta 3 patch001, non modded.

Should I edit anything in the mentioned files
or just upload them to my forum directory?
because I found many

and I don't understand
