Another KILLER MOD from G!

thx!

- Maybe we can have a pop_moderate file, that takes you directly to the select users boxes for the chosen forum? - in a pop_up?

GauravBhabu,

This is an excellent idea.

Looks like you left in your class statements though, I get a black table with darkblue letters when using the default Snitz colors....

Thanks Richard, I was working on it since morning and Just got lazy to write that extra code to replace the class statements.

They are on Line 80, 96 and 100. I will correct it in the zip.

Corrected. Zip Updated.

Excellent idea Gaurav.

The following two ideas are not mine, they have been requested in the help forum. I put them here incase you or anyone wanted to play with them.

One idea would be to add an icon to default.asp for each forum that links to the mod setup for that forum.

The other idea would be to add moderation by catagory. It could use the same page format as by forum, but it would take a function that would loop through the cat and add or subtract moderators from all the forums in the cat rather than just the one forum.

Here is a lil idea for this great Mod.

Idea:
Let us be able to give permission to delete users to the Moderators and any other options you might want to give someone to help out.

Like: Let Moderator Steve be able to lock out users and ban ips and so on, But not the other Moderators.

if something like that is even possible.

Always play with Honor & Respect...

Have you encountered an error where the footer wont show, and it comes up (sorry my webhost is in swedin)

Körningsfel i Microsoft VBScript fel '800a000d'

Inkompatibla typer: 'WriteFooter'

/gdcclan/mforum/admin_moderators.asp, line 293

Its trying to call a routine that isnt there, my guess is that it would be quite short, but id still prefer it to be as the author had designed it

btw: even with the error, this MOD rules

Just saw your posts after i posted an edit, Thanks for replying so soon

Category Moderation Added. Testing Now. Will be releasing, hopefully today.

Note:
Category Moderation will reassign Moderators for all forums within that category. All Selected Moderators will be assigned to all Forums within that category. If any Moderator is to be deleted from a partricular forum that has to be done by selecting Moderation by Moderator.

Opinions?

This is a due to a variable which is already defined in config.asp

Change it to sStrModerationMode. There are five instances of it

Change as below

Fixed and zip has been updated, So download again. And Replace the admin_moderators.asp if you already used the earlier version.

Line 60:
Dim strModerationMode,strFullListTitle,strSelectListTitle

Line 141:
strModerationMode = "Member"
Line 149
strModerationMode= "Member"
Line 162
strModerationMode = "Forum"
Line 251
Response.Write "<option value=""" & rsSelectedList.Fields(0) & """>" _
& GetNameSubject(strModerationMode,rsSelectedList.Fields(0)) & "</option>" & vbNewline
