only bug is that the F_USERLIST is still called for in the code... need somone to narrow exactly what needs to be done to make this work properly... if it is actualy just removing all references, or if it is to update the code for the new system.

hopefully we can call this one stable after that update and release 3.1sr3 so we can internationalize :)

download at The Beta Page.

Cheers!

I'll check it out mike, since I made it mostly redundant. Thanks for the new release. <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

Does this have the new inc_functions because I am having the same URL problem that I thought would be fixed by this version? I posted a bug here:

I would just like to say a big thanks to Mike for this release, it has just taken me under an hour to change my test forum to sr3B4.

Excellent work Mike.

getting this error when trying to get to the forum:
<pre id=code><font face=courier size=2 id=code>Microsoft VBScript compilation error '800a03ea'
Syntax error
? </font id=code></pre id=code>
I already went through the setup, and setup went ok without any errors. Upgrading from beta 2 to beta 4.

Problem found.

Change in INC_TOP.ASP

The line before <script language="JavaScript"> in:

Response.Write "<html>" & vbcrlf & vbcrlf & "<head>" & vbcrlf & "<title>" & strForumTitle & "</title>" & vbcrlf & "<meta name=""copyright"" content=""This code is Copyright (C) 2000 Michael Anderson and Pierre Gorissen"">" & vbcrlf

Then problem solved.

So you mean the fact that my name made it into the code is causing problems ? <img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>

<b>BTW</b>, please remember that this is a BETA version, DON'T upgrade your production servers with this yet, and please wait until the final SR3 is released if you don't feel comfortable debugging ASP pages.

Iv'e seen this behaviour before, so I checked some files, so far I have found dodgy chars again in admin_count and inc_top

<img src="http://195.149.32.155/tools/dodgychar.jpg" border=0>

to remove them try opening and then saving the file in your editor, this works on mine.

I have explained about these on previous releases.

HuwR,

Could you zip the files you have fixed and send them to me? (provided of course that you only fixed and didn't insert any big MOD's <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>)

This should save some considerable time in trying to follow the above mentioned fixes :)

Thanks!
