To convert to use another Upload object other than FSO, you need to edit UploadEngine.asp and change any references to clsUpload to use the component you have installed.
ASPSmartUpload appears to have been modeled on the clsUpload script (or vice versa) so its not too hard to change.
I have a sample UploadEngine.asp here I converted for someone else that uses ASPSmartUpload, if anyone wants it they can download it here

Thus far i've only seen the photo mod used for individual users to upload pictures for their profile. Has anyone seen an implementation of this script for a public gallery?

It's one of the things I'm going to add in version 2.0
But I'm "away" till at least next week. Hopefully I'll be able to do something after that.

When you get back would it be possible to get a copy of the upload mod as I cant find it any where or if some one has it can it be emailed to me or a link posted as I think before you install this mod you need the upload mod to have been installed.

Azaniah, any chance you may have been able to add in the option to use the photo gallery or the standard external URL box yet? You asked for a rememinder after a couple weeks.

I have started going through this mod, but have found that it is reliant on previous mods that I don't have installed. Would it be possible for someone to create a brief listing of the steps that must be done before the mod can be installed? I have been looking for the "ModCommander" mod and the "upload" mod with no luck. I think that these are the only two previous mods that are required, but I'd love confirmation on that.

I've updated the files.
Photo_V1_1.zip will be available as soon as freeaspcode/snitz is back up.
It now includes the Mod Commander, and the BARE MINIMUM of the upload MOD to allow this to work.

I think it's being used at http://www.classicmotorcycling.com/ for that, or at least he has a nice thumbnail/gallery thing going on there.
Why not ask him?

What you may find is that in mod_config, there are a LOT of variables defined from my system.
Have a look in there and comment out any duplications.

Any way you could do this mod on a clean 3.3 version as I remember last time looking at your code and it was full to the brim with other mods.
I was able to pull out and fix my first problem but now I have a second one sorry
when you say to edit inc_profile.asp the last line of your code says to put this but i think the par in red is wrong
