I have: set highest level of sub to by category set my category level to category subs allowed set my forum level to forum subs allowed (also tried topic) my auth type = all visitors if that matters
The problem is I don't get subscribe icons anywhere when i log on with a regular account. When i log on as admin i get all the subscribe icons. I've searched all through these boards, read a lot, and still can't figure it out. I am using 3.3.03. Can anyone help?
After setting the subscription level in the Admin Options you need to enable them also for every category/forum you want to use them for. This you could do by clicking on this button on the right side of the categoires/forums in default.asp
k, so as i mentioned i set the topic subscription to topic subscriptions allowed and i have set the category level to category subscriptions allowed (and tried forum/topic for that matter). Am i missing something?
What level are you trying to set it to, or are you just trying to get the darn thing to work in the first place?
Set the Category Properties to Allow Category Subscriptions and the Forum Properties to Allow Forum Subscriptions. You should see the icons show up after that. Make sure you have email options on.
