There were people doing this. In this topic I saw the traditional one: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=16668

See also here for simplified (not finished I think): http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=15876

You may try to contact them. You may also like to search the DEV group for "chinese simpl" keywords. There are some more.

Is this group still live? I'd like to work on the LANG2312 (Chinese Simpl), however, the version I installed v4.3.4, donesn't have many thing, e.g. 'Forget password' option is gone, more importantly, I don't find the 'Select Language' dropdown list box, how am I going to test without that?

To see some of the options, you need to have correct settings in admin section. For example, you have to enable and configure e-mail to be able to see options involving e-mailing.

To enable the language selector, you need to set in config.asp (near the bottom)

Const blnLangSupport = True

Bozden:

I've just sent the Simplified Chinese pack lang2052.asp along with graphic to you. However, I can only make the utf-8 format file, don't know how to convert it to GB format. Is it OK for your validation?

Nevertheless, the utf-8 pack works great, take a look: http://pub.webhostme.com/forum, and select the first language item beneath English-US, which is Simpl Chinese.

Russel,

If you send me a 2052 utf-8 format pack, I can help converting it into GB2312. (I tested this with the previously done utf-8 format 2052 - the one 80% or so done and seem it works).

Let me know. Also, I would like to have a fully translated Simplified Chinese, so if you kindly make it avaiable, I appreciate it greatly.

Best,
LR

2052 is codepage converted to G2132 (936) and sent it to you. Give an appropriate language id # (which I am not sure what that is...2132 or 936). A simple way to check - besides Chinese char rendering is to open this file with IE, right click your mouse and check encoding - it should show Simplified Chinese (G2132) checked.
