This is not a mod. It is just a small addon to HuwR great file attachment mod. I'm not very good at this; nothing elegant; just work fine for me.
What it does It will allow you to upload gif and jpg and display it as picture in the posting and it will allow you to select image position (default, left and right).
Prerequisite Must have the the file attachment mod installed and working
Installation 1.unzip the pop_upload2 and uploadengineimage into the forum folder. Please note that in my case these files are found in the forum root and not in the mod subfolder. You may need to modify the include files in the these two files to suit ur purpose.
2.Search for 'attachment' in the the attached post.asp and copy the few lines into your own post.asp. In my case I allowed upload only for moderators and above - you may want to modify this as per preference.
I cannot show you since in my forum it is only for moderators and above but essentially u will get another icon in addition to the normal paper clip that is meant for including image in post.asp

The updated uploadengine.asp which comes with the file upload mod also does this automatically.

How do I get a copy of the new uploadengine.asp and how does it include the image in the posting and does it allow positioning of the image? Sorry to ask but I hope I am not reinventing the wheel.
Cheers

By looking at all the posts, I think maybe it´s time for a general revision of the File/Upload MOD? - what do you guys think? Admin should simply be able to set Upload ON/OFF/BOTH in admin panel, and then everywhere in the forums (posts/memberpicture/ForumImage a.s.o.) where users are supposed to provide a picture or an external http://path, it should give them the options; FileUpload ON; upload content, FIleUpload OFF; only http://paths, BOTH let user choose wether to upload or provide http://path to object.

My $0.02...
I agree. I am looking for a way for my members to add a bunch of pictures to their post without having to have the file online somewhere... i.e., they upload it to a directory on my site instead of having a Yahoo Photo Album and then linking that. I want to set up a photo album, in other words, with the ability for people to post and comment on photos. I envision SnitzPhotoForums! Same look as Snitz, but multimedia-enabled! Whaddaya think, guys?
(I'd do it myself, but my ASP is less than amateur...) The Cheeta http://www.gatewaylindyhop.com

this is a work in progress but I am currently using a scaled down version of a photo albumn. the way it works is I have the upload mod installed and it make it easier to browse everyones uploads they can go to the Members section where they will see an icon of a camera. If you click on the camera icon next to the name it will display a listing of all their uploaded images which you can toggle between clicking a link to see the image OR actually viewing all the images.
On my v3 version of my new forum it will be more manageable and better looking in appearance, I just had to do something awhile ago really quick because members wanted an easy way to see their uploads as well as other members uploads.
http://24.127.109.197:666/forum/members.asp
and here is my directory:
http://24.127.109.197:666/forum/imgview.asp?member=dayve
the new versin will have the option for hide your uploads, fit in the Snitz scheme, offer paged views so it is not so long, show file stats (upload date and size), etc... I will release this as a mod when it is completed...

Thanks suhern!
Works fine, but the backgground for pop_upload2.asp had to be changed. Would it be possible to have a default maximumsize of shown pictures, often people post wery weide pictures and we have to scroll to the right to read the text. Mayby combinded so that in case of a picture being captured by the limitsize, at the same time it also get linked to the picture it self - and this link opens in a new window ? (long question ehe)

I am focussing on 3.3 on SQL2000 right now and have a few hurdles to get by. I will probably not have this ready until late January when I open my new forum to my members.

morpheus73,
The current upload mod already has all the options you mentioned apart from memberImage.
