When I try to change to NT authorisation type, it says

""You have to enable non-Anonymous access for the forum on the server first""

What does it mean? I am using win98.

You can't use NT Authorization on Windows 98!! You need Windows NT, or Windows 2000, or Windows XP Pro.

You will have to manually change that back in the database to "DB".

Are you sure that it the NT Authentication will work with Windows 2000. The authentication itself works but after activating the NT groups the forum will not show pages anymore... just a white page...

I don't know anything about NT Groups, but I do know that once you have an NT based OS, then you can use the NT Authurization option for the forum.
