are both files in your main forum directory? With one of the older mod_dbsetup.asp files, you had to put the files in a /mods directory. This is no longer the case. Both the admin_mod_dbsetup.asp file and the dbs_messageicons.asp file should be in your main forum directory. |

Yes. They are both in the main forum.

Have you been able to use the mod_dbsetup.asp file in the past with other MODS? |

The mods have worked and still work with admin_mod_dbsetup. For some reason, it won't work with Message Icons.

Astralis,
I really don't know why you are having a problem with it.
Are the other files that work named dbs_modname.asp or modname.dbs ?
if the ones that work are named like dbs_modname.asp then make sure the one for this mod is named dbs_messageicons.asp.
if the ones that work are named like modname.dbs then make sure the one for this mod is named messageicons.dbs.
Can you post a link to your site? |

Richard,
It's very strange - I got the admin_mod_dbsetup to recognize the files! I had to use it to install the slash mod and suddenly it appeared! There is no reason that I can come up with because I haven't messed with these files for a couple of days. This also isn't the first time that it took a day or two for a mod to be implemented on my site. I don't know if this has something to do with the code or not. But, it's up and perhaps this will help someone with the same problem; it might take a couple of days to be resolved by the server. ???
Thanks for your help!

Bjarke,
Are you using Access for your database? If so, can you e-mail it to me so I can see the data that is getting written? |

Bjarke,
in your post_info.asp file between lines 473 and 475 you need to insert this:
my_Conn.Execute (strSql) |
