Well I never! Thanks BikerBob and Richard. This does almost everything I wanted it to! An option to not delete read messages (so as only to delete unread messages after a certain date) would have made this perfect!

Strange problem.
When I PM someone it works perfectly. They get the email telling them of the PM.
How ever when I do a PM to all it seems to work but no one gets the email notifacation. I know that it is on by default because I set that in the DB table and they are all set to 1. |

I've just implemented the PM mod on my site http://www.cbr250.com/forum so far I am a happy camper seems to be working well.

I'm using Version 3.3.03, installed all the files, but when i went into the admin > mod setup ... the mod isn't listed in there ... I unzipped the files into the same folder ...

Please read the pm_readme.txt file, it contains all of the instructions to get this MOD running. Everything that is needed to get this MOD to work is included in the instructions. Modifications to your existing files is minimal.
Hopefully there are no issues.

I'm wondering if this version fixes an issue I have with my current version:
Say if I have my e-mail notification for PM's turned off, and someone else has it turned on, when I reply to theirs (or the other way around) I get an e-mail notification as well. (when I don't want one). I think it has something to do with the fact that the original author has notification turned on or something.
Is this the case in the new version, or has that been fixed up?

Can it be added for the admin to also select to send email notifications to those that have it set to on.
I sometimes have information that I want to get out to all members and I want them to be notified of the message. |
