Mod SetUp will make the changes required in the database. This mod does not require many changes to the existing files. You will be adding the files required for this Mod. Just follow the instructions in raedme.txt which is included in the zip

Thanks guys!
That did the trick!

FYI: The text (help) file is missing that info; for those of us who wouldn't know any better! It sort of is there, but it is not obvious.

I thought it was pretty obvious:

(from the pm_readme.txt file:)
So now it looks like the following: (you'll need to add the comma after DATE as indicated below)

I'm having a problem when replying to or forwarding a message that has a single quotation " ' " anywhere in the subject. There could be only 1 or as many as 3, either way it doesn't work.

when you make your own PM and sent it, it does it fine. It's just when you reply or forward.

Is there anyway to fix this?

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e14'

Syntax error (missing operator) in query expression ''RE: Hey ! It's Me!', 'Just thought I should tell you.', 6, 3, '20020127152831', 0, 0, '1')'.

/forums/privatesend_info.asp, line 339

I had also made post here before I saw this thread.

.zip file has been fixed. Just redownload the .zip file and overwrite the current privatesend_info.asp file with the one in the .zip file.

Richard, i've thought of an interesting add-on to the PM mod.

I've got a forum with over 3000 members. As the admin, I can use the 'PM to all members' option to send important information etc. to all my members.

Unfortunately, as with all forums, a high percentage of my members have for whatever reason, not been to the forum for a long time, leaving the message redundant and unread. Obviously, with thousands of messages lying unread in the system, this takes up quite a lot of space.

Would it not be possible to have an option to delete unread messages that are say, over 30 days old? This could be something that resides in the admin section or an admin only option in the PM section.

What are your thoughts?

Yep, just download the file that BikerBob provided a link to. It's something I wrote awhile back for someone who wanted the same thing.
