Hello All,

have a friend who wants to put Personal Web Server on his Winme using
machine. Problem is, both he and I can't find it anywhere on Microsoft's
site. Anyone know where it is..? Is it already bundled into me, or, is it
available at all for it ..? TIA. Cheers all.

P.S. Must add, he doesn't have the original CD of Winme.

Hello All,

I know that maybe some people may think this is a trivial problem, but my friend is doing a Web Design course here in Japan, Tokyo, and they are using PWS on the Uni PC's and he wants to just familiarise himself with this more. Can anyone help..? I found NT4 Option pack, on Microsoft's site, but it doesn't mention anything about Winme, just Win95/98. Please, if anybody can assist us, it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers all.

There is no PWS for WinME and you can only found it in Win98 CD or download the NT4 Option pack you mention above.

But you can try to install PWS in WinME though it does not support PWS completely (that could make WinME a joke).

I have installed PWS on WinME before (it worked) and you might receive some error message during the installation, just pass it through and everything will be fine

Traverer is here.

If you just need PWS installed, don't have to trash win ME for win2kPro. I have PWS installed on win ME sucessfully, just download the PWS from NT 4 Option pack, and it's all working.
