I think Huwr had some ideas about new guidlines / regulations for 4.xx mods that will help keep different mods and versions seperate. I think the conversation is in the Mods W/O Code forum, you might want to review it before starting to convert the mods.

It doesn't have anything to do with internationalization, it has to do with keeping mod versions strait and organized. So there isn't mod chaos.

You're right GauravBhabu, I wasn't talking about version control but rather about rewriting the mods so they use the flang and flangn functions.
I already did some tests with some mods but am waiting for v4 final before testing them again (and sending them to the respective authors for approval).
