Dear friends,
A new v40b03 will be released soon, and will be about the same as v40b022patch004. Before going further I want to understand how the work is going in the Language Packs you are preparing. Remember, the LangPacks consist of 1 LangNNNN.asp file and 4 gif files which have text info in them.
Take the latest Lang1033.asp file with info on line 42
' Language Data Dated: 29.09.2001 02:18 (UK 24h Format GMT+2))
Please reply this post with the following info(example for Turkish):
LCID= 1055 (the LCID code of your language)
Language= Turkish (the language name)
Translation Status= %90 (a percentage measure for finished part)
GIF File Status= 4 non standart GIFs ready (indicate if you did them or not also inform us if they are special to you needs or uses the same color/font as in original Snitz files)
Control Status= Not examined by anyone (if it's cross checked by other workgroup members for quality)
ETA= 07 November 2001 (expected time of finishing the translation and control)

Current status of the Japanese file is as follows:
LCID= 1041
Language= Japanese
Translation Status= 95%
GIF File Status= 4 GIFs ready
Control Status= Not examined by anyone. No return comments as of 2001/11/01. Publically available at http://www.geocities.com/ethan_91030/lang1041.zip
ETA= Unknown, depends on control review.
I am afraid there doesn't seem to be much interest in the Japanese version.

Hello,
have already 2 Versions, "DU/SIE" the german people know what this means.
If you want to use the German Lang Pack but donīt know the difference, you should prefer to use SIE. I named that file simply Lang1031.asp.
LCID= 1031
Language= German
Translation Status= 92%
GIF File Status= 8, 4 per Version. Donīt have the same font, but design is not very different to original files.

Yes, but the data is evolving with corrections. Can you keep that pack in pace with the English one, and send the status here ?

Bodzen,
What are the fonts used for the buttons that need to be translated.
Isn't it possible to provide a *.psd template so we can modify the buttons easily in Adobe Photoshop ?
ps. Just started a DUTCH workgroup to finalize and test the language file. I expect that the file will be finished this week and tested by the end of next week.

Well - It seems hard to cooperate here in Sweden.

I don't know it, and I don't have a PSD file. Also I think that its not a good idea that everybody does it.
I posted an inquiry to all of you before to send the strings for those gif files to a post where (as far as I can remember) SrErick offered his help. Nobody did reply  . We will retry the same if you don't have any objection.
Unfortunatelly I'm not able to find these two posts...
