Take a look at the comment under the link. Kal Corp supplied two users for testing <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>
You can use those to log on.

Yes!!
I liked the idea very much, in fact I was working on it. Seems you beat me to it.
I have downloaded your codes (update.zip) and will take a look at how you manage to get it to work. As you can tell, I had some problems coding it.

Just wondering, is your codes compatible with version 3sr2 ?

WTG Kal.

Kal,
.....taken a brief look at the codes.
From that brief look, it seems that your codes catered for 1 NT domain only. I was working on one which supports multiple NT domain in trust relationship.

By the way, could you provide comments to the parts of the codes that had been changed? I hate to miss any part of the code and it is quite tedious to compare line by line right now.

Thanks.

I had the NT Group mod listed before my site was deleted <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>. The restore didnt have that update.

I will repost it back on my test forum

The info is also found here in snitz in DEV Design Requests W/Code (v4)
Here is the link

http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=212&FORUM_ID=25&CAT_ID=1&Topic_Title=NT+Global+Groups+for+Private+Forum+access%21&Forum_Title=DEV+Design+Requests+W%2FCode+%28v4%29

sorry about that

As for multiple NT domains. This code i think will work for any domain that can connect to the web server. so if you have a trust it will work.

Kal,

Just a note of support, this idea of using NT groups has saved me soooo much time in doing it with my poor ASP skills in prototypeing this for use on my companys Intranet.

Many Thanks

John

Note: Is there another source for the downloads of the code snippets as your DynDNS site is down?

The test forum1 should have the info in the download section.

I have been away sometime. I'll check tonight that my test forums are up and running with the code. I think Unreal T and Ultim aOnline is running on that server too. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Karl corp, I have tried your link and the server is unobtainable, is there anywhere else where this can be obtained. I desperately need this code, seamles integration of the forums onto our intranet servers is exactly what I'm looking for.
Also I saw in a different forum that you where trying to interigate an exchange server for email address. I have a solution for you, I had this problem on another project we worked on, we used an LDAP activex component to pass an inquiry to the exchange ldap directory, this also works for NDS on netware and other ldap directries. Here is a link to the site http://www.polonia-online.com/ldap/ If you can get the version 1 component I think it is still free. If you want to code that we used I can dig it out for you :D.

The Web Server is started again.

The Unreal server web admin was fighting with the port <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

I tried to use LDAP from ASP. but my exchange servers would not let me in. I didnt spend to much time on it so it could be a easy fix.

Cool, thanks I'll get that down, you'll probably find that the exchange admin has disallowed anon LDAP access. Catches you out every time hehe.<img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>
