I downloaded the 3.3 version. I get this error every time I register as a new user:
Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3'
Server.CreateObject Failed
/forum/inc_mail.asp, line 55
Invalid ProgID. For additional information specific to this message please visit the Microsoft Online Support site located at: http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp.
Then when I look at "Members" the new member is there. But when I try to post a topic logged in with that name I get this error:
Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e14'
The INSERT INTO statement contains the following unknown field name: 'C_STRMOVENOTIFY'. Make sure you have typed the name correctly, and try the operation again.
/forum/post_info.asp, line 653
Any ideas?
One more question, how come there's only "MS Access 2000 using virtual path" in the new version?
(Just discovered that it works fine answering to the "Welcome to Snitz Forums 2000"-topic....hmmmm.)

That means that the email component you chose in the email configuration section isn't installed on your server.quote: Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e14'

Yeah, noticed that too. Here it is if you want to use it
strConnString = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=c:\inetpub\dbroot\snitz_forums_2000.mdb" '## MS Access 2000

I too am recieving this error when anyone tries to register on my forum. They are able to post fine thanks to the fix I used in the admin upgrade options. How can I configure the forum email component so that it uses the email I have installed. Or is there any other way to get rid of this error. I would appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks

What version of the forums are you using?
If you are using the latest 3.3 version, then when you go to your email configuration, it will list only the email components you have installed on your server. If none is installed the email option stays off and you can't turn it on.
If you are using the 3.1 SR4 release, you can go here http://forum.snitz.com/archive/default.asp?catid=11&cattitle=Forum+Setup+Tools and download the "Check Email Components" tool. Extract the file and place it in your forum folder. Then go to the file using your borwser. It will tell you what email components are installed on your server.
The only other way to get rid of the error is to turn off the email option, in your email configuration.

I'm using v 3.3. I have JMail on my server. Never had any problems with the earlier versions of Snitz.

I've just downloaded the V 3.3 once again. I'll try it all over again and get back with the results in a few sec.
