Is there a way to get rid of the pull down menu that I could get rid of the pull down menu that asks what order the posts should be displayed in? I just want to have them displayed in the order they are posted, or oldest post first as per the drop down menu.

You mean you installed the Post sorting mod on your topic.asp file and now want to go back to the way it was before?
Just take out the code that you added for the mod.
Or you can email me your topic.asp file and I'll take it out for you.

There was a mod, i think that Huwr did long ago, to sort the postings on the topic.asp page. Some persons recently had asked for that options again and since I had it on my forum, I just added it to a fresh copy of a topic.asp file from the SR4 zip and gave them in a txt file.

So i thought that's what he was reffering to.

Richard - Its huwrs version. If I take out this mod, it will display the original post and replies in the original order? ie the original post, then the first reply, then the second etc.
What exactly do I have to take out and in what file?

Patrick, if you select the "Show oldest post first" option, which is the default option, it will go back the original sorting that you are asking for.

Ok, but I want to get rid of that box completely, and have the posts sorted as stated above. How would I do that?
