Hey, For some reason, the ranking stars don't appear to work on my forums?
Any ideas?

To get the first star, the person has to reach the post level that you have set for Member Level 1. The default setting is 50 posts. So if you haven't changed the #, a user would need to get 50 posts before they get their first star. |

What about moderators? I have people that have posted 50 posts (!) and still no stars!

Do you have the stars turned on? In the Ranking Configuration Screen there is a drop down box where you can choose what it shows.
Have a look on this page for an explanation:

scroll down until you see this question:
How do I get member ranking (stars) working? |

Can you post a link to your forums, and can you send me your admin username and password if you have changed it from the default.

Oh, you didn't tell us you were on a Linux server using Chili!ASP. There is a problem with the stars not showing, when using Chili!ASP and a *nix system. I don't think there is anything we can do to fix it via the code, but I think it is probably something with Chili!ASP. Not sure. But there is no fix for it. Not that I know of.

That will be the answer to loads of my problems then!
Cheers for the help....much appreciated! Looking to move to a Win2k server anyway!

Same problem with no stars. I'm on an NT server using CDONTS. Even the Moderators and Administrator have no stars. I chose Rank and Stars from the drop-down and I adjusted my numbers to be lower. Still no luck and btw, the stars show up in the admin section under the different ranks so the images are intact.

Memorom, I changed the Post # for Member Level 1 down to 5 posts (that was the highest # of posts that any of your members had). It's now showing 1 star for that person. |
