The Snitz Forum code is really nice, but it seems to be very "unfriendly" to Netscape users, even as late as v4.77 (Nobody in his right mind would use 6.x)
Some pages will not show at all, "pop-up" descriptions of links, icons, etc. won't function. Certain colors are killers, but I notice a FAQ on a possible cure for that.
Any advice about "pop-up"s, visited links, rollovers, even the spell checker MOD is blank in Netscape.
Would appreciate solutions that do not involve re-writing all the code. Is there a newer version about to be released that addresses this issue?

We're not Netscape unfriendly on purpose, but there may be some problems in the base code. I don't know about the MODS, they are build by a lot of different people, and it is up to them and the people that want to use those MODS to test them in different browsers. Most MOD-coders are very willing to change browserbased bugs that you report to them. You found the FAQ about the colors (http://forum.snitz.com/faq_additional.asp) so that problem is "fixed" for you. Of course if a site uses Snitz and doesn't use these HEX-codes you still might have a problem.
The rest of the problems you mention are too generic for me to comment on, wouldn't know what to suggest to you to change, but if you like to post specific problems in the BUGS forum, please do so and we'll look at them and try to fix them. Screenshots are very helpfull in those cases. Thank you.

The little popup tools tips don't work because most of them are using ALT=, which I don't think that Netscape uses ALT= the same that IE does. To fix it would mean enclosing all images/links etc that currently only have ALT=... with <acronym=" "> </acronym>
And yes, Netscape is very unfriendly. |

in my experience, NS (4.75) dosen't show acronym in links while alt for img seems fine.

really? That's weird... Maybe it was Opera that didn't like ALT= for the tooltip popups, but I thought it was Netscape... |

Yeah, I don't think there is a html command supported by netscape(up to version 4.75 as bjlt had said) to allow for tool tips on text. Not sure about Netscape 6.

I make my tests also using Netscape (exactly as stated in About page): Netscape 6 Preview Release 3 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; m18) Gecko/20000929 Netscape6/6.0b3
This also does show those tooltips if used as <acronym> tags.
