Hello

I have IIS 5.0 installed in my machine. When I load a new project in interdev the wizard asks me to specify the server name. If i type 127.0.0.1 or localhost it gives me an error. What should I type

Thanks

Neeraj

If you're not connected to the internet, you probably need to get the IP stack initialized before you open Interdev. Open your browser to localhost, you'll get an error, retry, and you should see your local website.

Once you can view your local server in IE, I've never had a problem working with Interdev on the local web.

Be sure that you have frontpage server extensions installed on your system and enabled for the virtual you're trying to connect to.

InterDev will install the FP extensions if needed (FP98 extensions). I've never had to explicitly install FP extensions on local computers with W98, NT Workstation or W2K Pro and InterDev.
