Our Mods and Admins are all volunteer slave labor on a technical site. It is required that they keep orderly areas, and keep the peace. It is NOT required that they answer every inquiry, as that is what our active members are supposed to do to enhance communication and make a community.
Certainly, the members should be "rewarded" for the amount of posting participation, but the Mods and Admins deserve credit for their own effort.
I think the lack of this capability is an undue handicap, so I have devised a remedy you can use.
1) Assign Mods and Admins unique star colors, which should be different, if you wish to distinguish between a Topic Moderator and a Forum Admin.
2) Use your Graphics program (I used Photoshop) to edit the downloaded "icon_star_gold.gif", for Admins, and "icon_star_silver.gif" for Mods.
3) Decide on the number of stars you want to use and change the "canvas width" to that size, and move the existing star into the left side. Copy and paste the number of stars you want to match tbe width you have assigned. I used 53 pixels wide by 12 pixels high (standard height).
4) Replace the originals with these, and as soon as your Admins and Mods have posted 11 times (I could find no way around this) they will get their stars. Have no idea what happens when they cross the next threshold (8 stars?)

I would upload them to this site, if I knew a way, and save some design effort. Any Admin willing to give me an FTP
