I've uplaoded on brinkster, but by typing the full url I can edit my database without any problem, is it just a case of renaming the database, or is there something more secure, I've contacted brinkster about the CHMOD option, but would this mean that it wouldn't work when a new member is enlisted. Please help, I am very confused. Thanx

Yes, the only think you can really do is rename it to something hard to guess like gdgxb5674dfgbdfg465dfg.mdb

Thats great. Thank you very much. However, if you typed the url, wouldn't you get a file directory page?? I was thinking about putting an index.html page there to stop viewing. What are you thoughts??? DarkDwarf.

Most MS hosts will disable directory browsing by default, I think. If a directory list shows up when you navigate to the folder, your host can stop that with a setting in IIS.
NT and 2K don't use index.html as a default document. Try default.htm and default.asp to block browsing in your IIS web folder.
