SalmanKhana, first let me thank you again for all of your help. I thought of the upoad folder before, so have one both off the root and off the forum folder,.
I have sent you an email with a picture sequence showing the screen shots leading up to the error, I also sent both the UploadEngine.asp and the Post.asp. The UploadEngine.asp resides in the ./forum/mods folder and the post.asp resides in the ./forum folder. I wish I knew what other info to give you.
HuwR - In stead of having mods from all over I would like to focus in on one programmer. You seem to have the other mods I would like Spell check, etc. Could you send all your mods to me via email. Thanks

First of all, the name is ' uploaded ' folder not ' upload ' . maybe that is the problem
Apparently the problem is in this line. fso.createFolder(strRoot)
Do you have the read/write option ON on your host server ? maybe thats the problem
HuwR please help out in this problem.

Duh! I had upload , well that changed the error to :
Technical Information (for support personnel)
Error Type: Microsoft VBScript runtime (0x800A0046) Permission denied /forum/Mods/UploadEngine.asp, line 164
Browser Type: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows 98)
Page: POST 32697 bytes to /forum/Mods/UploadEngine.asp
POST Data: error '80020009' Exception occurred.
/iisHelp/common/500-100.asp, line 192
Now I have all of the options tuen on, browse, script, and program. I am using FronPage 2000, am I missing something?
This now does look like a permission problem like write not enables without proper password or something.

looking on the Help page, I can in security give authoring permission, but that would be for the entire web site, Sounds a little dangerous, must be a way to give write permission to a folder only, Anyone know how? Frontpage 2000.

I'm glad you figured out what the problem was.
Yeah it is a problem with your Read/Write permissions or your host server does not support that feature. !!

SalmanKhana you sir are a saint. I thanks you so much for sticking with me through this. I tell you the company I host with (I pay for it) is so good I emailed them this morning and they have already handled the permissions problem, on a Saturday.

I am going to look and see if there is a place on this forum to put them as a recomended hosting site.
Oh yea IT WORKS!!!!! Stop by and post a picture sometime! thanks again.

Huwr or any of you guys here, I want to try this mode, and I was able to download all but the new "image" uploadengine.asp. The one in the completed mods links to Huwr's site, and I continue to get a no connect. could anybody please send me the image "uploadengine.asp" or fix the link, or put the link here! Thx in advance!

It should work now, I have been playing diablo II with my wife, and my firewall kept BSODing my server, so I disconnected the cable modem and disabled the fie wall while we were playing.
