I'm sure this is something simple.... but I have banged my head for several hours now and I can't figure it out.
no longer the active link------>http://www.mydta.org/cgi-bin/forum/default.asp
new one that works --> ]http://www.mydta.org/forum/default.asp
On my browser at least, NONE of the icons will show up. Anybody out there know what I'm missing?
Thanks- Mark

I don't know if this will help but...
HTTP 403.2 - Forbidden: Read Access Forbidden Internet Information Services
When I try to load up one of the icons that are in my folder, say http://www.mydta.org/cgi-bin/forum/icon_smile.gif
I get this error. Some sort of permission problems I'm sure, I'm more versed in unix commands though, so I'm not sure what to do.
Thanks again- Mark Swanson

Yes, it is a permissions problem. Usually cgi-bins don't have Read permission for it is for scripts. So you either move your forums out of the cgi-bin and into your main document folders or set Read permission to the cgi-bin.(which I don't recommend you to do)
hmm, is it possible that you can just set Read permission to just the forum folder? And leave the cgi-bin permissions to Scripts and Execute? *shrugs*
You could try doing my last suggestion (setting the forum folder to Read) if you have your own server, or ask your server admin if it's possible to do it. If not, go with one of the first 2 options i gave you.

Well, that was it. The database has to be in the cgi-bin for read and write, but my provider does not allow other objects like gifs to be read in the cgi-bin folder. Solution: leave the mdb in the cgi-bin folder, move everything else into it's own directory in root and just let the files know where to look for the database. Thanks-
(AWESOME SCRIPT by the way)
